Transfer class and leave (tuition)

Klassi does not have a “transfer class” or “pause enrollment” button yet. Each student is bound to one class. You can still handle real-life cases with collect fees → remove → add, per-session leave, or makeup groups.

Case 1 — Official transfer (class A → class B)

Recommended (monthly billing)

1. On the old class: mark the current period paid (cash / bank transfer).
2. Open the Students tab → Remove the student from the old class.
3. Open the new class → Add student (same name + parent email).
4. For monthly classes: prefer month-end / next month start so you do not create two charges in the same month.

⚠️ Removing a student deletes that enrollment’s attendance, tuition records, and portal links in the app. Collect / record payment before you remove.

Temporary schedule swap (not a real transfer)

Use a parallel makeup group — the student stays enrolled in the home class and can scan the other class QR. → Parallel makeup groups

Do not

• Enroll in both classes at once → risk of double billing.
• Remove + re-add mid-month without reconciling money with the parent offline.

Session-package classes

You can transfer earlier if the package is not finished — remaining sessions do not auto-carry to the new class after remove.

Case 2a — Per-session absence (leave request)

1. Parent submits leave on the portal (tied to a session).
2. You approve → attendance becomes excused.

Want a monthly discount for many absences? Agree and settle outside the app (Klassi cannot edit the charge amount on a tuition record).

Case 2b — Quit or long pause

1. Collect / mark paid any open balances first.
2. Remove the student before the 1st of next month (Vietnam time) — the system generates the next monthly charge for everyone still enrolled.
3. Do not leave quit students enrolled → fake debt on the fees dashboard.

Short pause (a few sessions): keep enrollment + per-session leave. Session packages work fine; monthly classes still bill the full month.

Checklist before removing a student

• Paid / recorded (or noted offline) any balances you need to keep
• Told the parent the old portal link will stop working
• Know the destination class (transfer) or confirmed quit
• Do not need in-app history for this enrollment anymore
