Set up tuition fees and record payments

Klassi tracks fees for you: who owes, how much, and when it's due — no more spreadsheets or manual reminders.

Set the fee for a class

1. Go to Classes → select the class
2. Go to Settings → Fees
3. Choose billing mode: Monthly or Session package
4. Enter the fee (e.g. 800,000 VND)
5. For monthly mode: optionally set the due day (default: 5th)
6. Click Save

New-class defaults: Solo / Solo+AI → monthly tuition; Free → session package (8 sessions). You can change this anytime in Settings.

Create monthly tuition records (monthly mode only)

You need a fee greater than zero and at least one student.

If students or fee are missing, the app shows a guided empty state instead of a silent no-op.

Record a payment

1. Go to Fees (navigation) or open a class → Fees tab
2. Find the student
3. Mark Cash or Bank transfer
4. The balance updates immediately

You can also copy a reminder message to paste into Zalo for parents.

View the fee overview

Go to Fees in the navigation to see outstanding, upcoming, and overdue balances across classes.

FAQ

Can I charge per session instead of per month?
Yes — use Session package in class Settings. → Session package tuition

Does a student's absence automatically reduce the fee?
No for monthly billing — the full month is still charged. Approved leave only marks attendance excused; for session packages, excused does not consume a session. Want a monthly discount? Settle offline. → Transfer class & leave

Where do parents see the fee balance?
On their parent page (the link you sent), under Fees. → See what parents see

Automatic email/push reminders?
Available on Solo and above. → Auto fee reminders
