Parallel classes and makeup attendance

Use when you run two or more classes at the same time — a student from class A can scan class B’s QR and Klassi records makeup attendance automatically.

Set up a makeup group

1. Classes → select class → Settings
2. Scroll to Parallel classes & makeup
3. Either:
   • Join an existing group → pick group → Join group
   • Create a new group (e.g. Math 7 evening) → Create & add this class
4. Repeat for other classes in the same group

Leave group: Leave group on that class’s settings.

How students scan

• Student portal → Sessions tab → scan QR with GPS at the class that is running (in the group)
• Same parallel group → recorded as makeup
• Different group → QR rejected

Copy class

When copying a class, enable Parallel makeup group to add the new class to the source group. → Copy class
