Add students to a class

Each student needs a parent email (family classes) so Klassi can create a unique parent link and send automatic notifications. Without a parent email, reminders and attendance emails won't work.

Steps (one by one)

  1. Go to Classes → select the class
  2. Select the Students tab
  3. Click Add student
  4. Fill in:
    • Student full name (required)
    • Parent email (required for family classes — used to send the link and notifications)
    • Parent name (optional)
  5. Click Save

After saving, Klassi automatically creates a unique parent link for that student.

Bulk import (Excel / paste)

For many students: on the Students tab, open Bulk import.

  1. Download the template (columns differ for family vs adult classes)
  2. Fill up to 100 rows per batch → upload .xlsx / .csv, or paste a table
  3. Review the preview → fix any error rows → Import

Successful rows create students and links like single add. Failed rows are reported separately — valid rows still save.

After adding a student, click Share next to the student's name to copy the link and send it via message or email.

FAQ

What if the parent doesn't have an email?
A parent email is required for automatic notifications. If parents don't use email, you can enter your own temporarily and forward information manually — but automatic features won't work correctly.

I entered the wrong parent email — can I fix it?
Yes. Click the student's name → Edit → update the email → Save. A new link will be generated.

One parent has multiple children in the same class?
Add each student separately. If the parent email is the same, the system will link them to the same parent page.

How many students can I add?
Free plan: max 15 students per class. Paid plans have no student limit. → See plans

Adult class?
Turn on Adult class in Class settings — parent email is not required; the bulk template uses learner columns.
