Run polls and anonymous Q&A

Use polls for quick checks during class, and anonymous Q&A for students who hesitate to ask out loud.

Create a poll

1. Go to Classes → select a class
2. Open the Poll tab, or use Poll from the Live Class dock
3. Enter a question and 2–6 choices
4. Click Start poll
5. Watch votes update live
6. Close the poll when done

Students vote from their student portal Poll tab.

Use anonymous Q&A board

1. Open the class → Q&A board tab
2. Students submit questions anonymously from their portal
3. Reply publicly for everyone in the class to see
4. Pin important questions or delete inappropriate ones
5. Close the board when you no longer want new questions

Tips

• Use polls at the start of class to check homework completion
• Pin the best anonymous questions before closing the board
• If a student asks a personal question, answer privately in Messages
