Request an absence
Can't make it to class? Depending on your class type, you or your parent can submit a leave request — your teacher sees it immediately in the app.
Who submits?
| Class type | How to submit |
|---|---|
| Classes with parents (most common) | Parent submits via the parent portal — Attendance tab |
| Adult / self-managed learner classes | You submit on your student portal — More → Leave |
If you don't see Leave under More, ask your parent to submit instead.
Steps (adult learner classes)
- Open your student page
- Tap the More tab in the bottom navigation
- Tap Leave
- Select an upcoming session from the dropdown
- Enter a reason (required)
- Tap Submit

FAQ
What happens after I submit?
Your teacher sees the request in their app. Once approved, the session is recorded as "Excused" instead of "Absent".
Does an absence request affect my fees?
It depends on the teacher's settings. Some classes allow fee adjustments for excused absences.
I don't see the "Leave" option?
Your class uses the parent portal for leave requests — see the parent guide.
